Latest My Disney Experience Update Brings New Options

My Disney Experience or MDE as it is popularly known, is the app that allows you to book fastpasses, dining reservations, check wait times, look at photos and many, many other features before and during your Walt Disney World vacation.

The app had a major update yesterday and with it, a brand new option for those staying on property.

Now, not only can you check in online and bypass the entire front desk experience, you can opt out of room service for the length of your stay by using the app.

This option has been available for quiet some time. If you are staying on property for 2 nights or more you were able to opt out of room service (Mousekeeping, cleaning, making beds,etc) and get an electronic gift card with amounts varying in how many nights you are staying. You had to go to the Front Desk to request this option.

Now with the MDE update you can opt out of room service right from your phone, again bypassing having to go to the Front Desk. Keep in mind that although the option will eliminate Mousekeeping going into your room to clean and make beds you can still call to request towels or toiletries and they will be delivered to your room.
