Emotional Whirlwind Opening This Summer

Over at Disney’s California Adventure there’s a little anniversary about to happen. Pixar Pier is about to turn one year old on June 23rd and along with the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal Around, Jessie’s Critter Carousel and Toy Story Mania, there is one last piece of the Pixar puzzle to complete the entire land experience.

The Emotional Whirlwind attraction is set to open any day now. Based on the beloved Inside Out movie,this fun family-friendly attraction invites you to step into the workplace of Riley’s Emotions—Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger.

Your adventure begins when you hop aboard one of 8 Memory Movers, each uniquely colored to evoke one of Riley’s Emotions or another exuberant character from her imagination.

You’ll find yourself surrounded by vibrant shelves packed with glowing recollections as the Memory Movers ascend in unison, fly in a circle and inspire you to create your own happy memory of this experience.

To complement the whimsical atmosphere, Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino created five music tracks, one for each of the emotions. Last year Michael collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to compose the music for the thrilling Incredicoaster.
