Animal Kingdom Rings in 2020 with Special Offerings

For the first time ever Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be opened until midnight on New Years Eve to ring in 2020. Along with the special pin event (you can read details here) There will be even more special entertainment to keep guests engaged and celebrating.

Food & Beverage
Special items will be available throughout the park for guests to toast the new year.

  • Flame Tree Barbecue will offer a special platter for two with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, beans, coleslaw, mac & cheese, and cornbread available.
  • Nomad Lounge will have special appetizers and cocktails after 9 p.m. along with a celebratory bubbly toast.
  • Restaurantosaurus will offer a surf-and-turf burger as well as sparkling wine.
  • Thirsty River Bar will have New Year’s cocktails.
  • Trilo-Bites will feature a golden margarita.
  • New Year’s Eve cookies will be available at ice cream carts throughout the park, and a New Year’s Eve cupcake will feature yellow cake with champagne mousse filling, buttercream frosting, and crispy chocolate pearl “bubbles.” It’s available Dec. 29-Jan. 4 at Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus and at Pizzafari on Dec. 31 only.

Entertainment
Of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without entertainment!

DJ dance parties will run 6:15 p.m.-12:05 a.m.:

    Shake your tail feather at Donald’s Dino Bash! as you ring in the new year with the biggest dance party DinoLand U.S.A. has ever seen!

Tree of Life – Awaken the New Year – 11:58 p.m.
Guests will gather around the Tree of Life to count down to midnight with a dazzling display of music and light.

And when the party is finished, those who don’t wish to keep their complimentary party hats may recycle them in bins located near the main entrance.
