3 Things to Look Forward During D23

In about 3 months the popular, ultimate Disney fan convention will take place once again in Anaheim. D23 Expo is the convention for Disney fans all about Disney parks, movies, television, books and everything else that has to do with the Disney Company.

During this year’s D23 convention we will see announcements on the future of Epcot. While most of the plans are already under way the Disney Parks Blog has announced three things to look forward if you are a fan of the park.

A new entrance: we have already seen the start of the construction of the main entrance to Epcot, from the construction walls and repaving of the main road leading to the entrance to the repositioning of the Leave a Legacy stones. But during D23 they will also reveal what will flank both sides of Spaceship Earth, in front and behind.

Old icons are coming back: Those familiar with Epcot from the early years will recognize these icons that denote the different pavilions in Epcot. With new pavilions coming during the re-imaging, like the Play pavilion announced a couple of months ago, they will unveil new icons.

More details on Attractions and Restaurants: We will also hear more details on the revamping of the movies in World Showcase along with announcements on all the new restaurants.

Everything happening around the Walt Disney World property is in preparation for the biggest celebration the resort has ever seen, when in 2021 Walt Disney World will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary.
