Walt Disney World Announces Closures ahead of Tropical Storm Nicole
Walt Disney World is planning ahead in keeping its guests safe in anticipation of the arrival of Tropical Storm Nicole. As of now, the storm remains a tropical storm and not yet a hurricane, although this is anticipated to change as the storm heads toward Central Florida.
So far, the closures are as follows:
Walt Disney World closures for Thursday, November 10
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (Blizzard Beach remains closed as announced for renovations)
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
Fantasia Gardens
Fairways Miniature Golf
Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Disney Springs remain open at this time.
In a reversed decision, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village resort were all closed Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11. Disney has since announced that they will keep these Resort locations open for those dates, however as we have experienced this is subject to change.
As the path of Nicole continues to develop, we will continue to watch announcements by Walt Disney World and update with any resort or park closures.
