Next Star Wars Trilogy coming in 2022 from the Writers of Game Of Thrones

At today’s annual Upfront Event, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger announced the new trilogy will come from the writers of Game Of Thrones David Benioff and D.B. Weiss in 2022, 2024 and 2026.

Star Wars Rise of Skywalker is being released this Christmas season and Disney has decided to take a little break in between trilogies. “Three years is the proper amount of time to take a breather and reset but really gear up for the next film’s release. We did a deal with Benioff and Weiss, and the next movie will be theirs.” Iger said.

Fans need not to worry, aside from the opening of the biggest land expansion in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, with Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, there will also be two new shows coming to Disney+ , The Mandalorian and Cassian Andor Series to keep the galaxy far, far, away closer and current as ever.
