Governor Moves Florida Into “Phase 3” of Reopening – Lifting Capacity Restrictions for Theme Parks
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced today that the state is moving into phase 3 of reopening. Removing all statewide restrictions.
DeSantis’ announcement would allow restaurants and hotels across the state to immediately reopen at full capacity. Phase 3 also has significant news regarding theme parks.
This phase will allow Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort to increase capacity. A step closer towards returning to normal operations. The question is, will Walt Disney World chose to make changes to the already existing protocols, which WDW did mention earlier that they would continue until the end of the year.
Walt Disney World did release a response today stating the following: “We received the Governor’s executive order and are evaluating it to determine what it may mean for our business. We are not making any immediate changes. As a reminder, face coverings are still required at Walt Disney World Resort.”
We will update you as more official word regarding any changes comes from The Walt Disney Company.
