Popular Experience Will Not Return with The Food & Wine Festival
As Disney Parks in the United States slowly return to normal, it looks like Disney is still penny pinching to help make up for losses incurred during the Pandemic.
While you’ll be paying the same or even more to visit Disney, their cuts to park experiences continue. Disney recently announced the return of the popular Food & Wine festival at EPCOT but not everything is returning with it. Most notably, The Eat to the Beat concert series.
The Eat to the Beat concert series was a popular music experience that brought well-known bands & musicians to the stage at the American Pavilion to perform their hits. Past acts have included Sugar Ray, The Calling & Blue October. There was usually an act performing most nights during the Food & Wine festival.
Unfortunately this year, Eat to the Beat has been replaced. Instead, you’ll get to experience a few local musicians, that will play popular songs from the past & present, according to the Disney Parks blog. Essentially Disney has gone from bringing in the musicians who actually created these songs, to local cover bands that will do their best to cover these songs. Nothing against cover bands, but for a $110 ticket just to get inside + over priced food & drinks, it’s a bit of a let down.
