Closures Continue: The Electric Umbrella

Our friends at wdwinfo have been able to confirm through a Disney released statement that The Electric Umbrella, quick service restaurant in the heart of Epcot’s Future World, will be closing come November 23rd.

Disney statement’s reads: “As part of the exciting transformation of Epcot, Electric Umbrella is scheduled to close this winter. New dining options will be available in the future, featuring a variety of food and beverage selections.” by the end of this year.

This is the second news story today having to do with Epcot’s re-imagining, only a couple of minutes ago we reported that the Character Spot is closing in September.

We know that the space themed table service restaurant is opening between Mission Space and Test Track . With the closure of The Electric Umbrella that leaves only Sunshine Seasons as a quick service location in Future World.
