Will This Be A New Design for Galaxy’s Edge Magic Band?

Thanks to our friends at magicband collectors we have a first look at some very special magicbands produced for some very important people.

The Disney Board of Directors have been given a very special Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Magicband. The magicband commemorates the opening of the new lands in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. These special bands have the name of each person and although it is unclear on how many there were made, magicbands collectors think it’s less than 50.

Of course these are not an open edition for the public to buy but it may give us an indication of the style and look at the magicbands that will be available for purchase once Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens in Walt Disney World. (Disneyland does not have magicband capabilities yet)

In the past the board of directors also got special magicbands for the opening of Pandora The World of Avatar and a special Mickey Mouse one. You can see the special magicbands here.

When Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios we are sure to see a couple of magicbands designs for sale, if they follow the same way as Pandora and Toy Storylaand openings we will see a limited edition, an open release and an Annual Passholder magicband.
