WDW Third Party Delivery Services Updated Policy
Third party companies have been used in the past to deliver a rented stroller, wheelchair or even when you want groceries waiting for you at your hotel before you check in. The process used to be that these outside vendors were able to drop off your supplies at Bell Services at your resort and you could retrieve them when you arrived.
Yesterday several Disney fan sites and blogs started reporting on a change in policy. Some outside stroller and mobility companies announced that Disney will no longer accept or hold these items at Bell services and that the guest must be present to retrieve them during actual delivery.
The popular Garden Grocer company, known for delivering grocery style items came out on Facebook with the following statement:
” 🚨Update🚨 Walt Disney World has just implemented a new policy concerning outside vendors delivering to bell services. At this time, grocery delivery services will not be affected! #GardenGrocer will still be able to deliver your grocery orders directly to bell services where they will be stored until you arrive at your resort. Our managers have contacted several Disney resorts and have spoken to managers, along with employees, to confirm this information is correct. The only outside vendor services affected at this time will be mobility services such as scooter and stroller rental companies. Disney now has an exclusive mobility vendor, and they will be the only mobility vendor to deliver to bell services “
If you are planning to have anything delivered by an outside vendor after October 1st please make sure to contact them and clarify their delivery methods in light of the new changes.
It is also important to say that the official Disney policy has not changed as of the publishing of this article.
