WDW Sets Expiration Date To Third Party Cast Member Perks & Discounts
It seems the budget cuts just keep rolling in…
You may not have noticed as much as you’re strolling through the parks, or dining at your favorite restaurant on Disney property but not all cast members are directly Disney employees. There are several companies that have partnerships with Disney and have allowed these companies for years to employee workers directly that have been granted cast member permissions as they do work on Disney property.
It’s also no secret that cast members at Disney enjoy a few perks and discounts that seem to be a staple with their employment. Cast members all over the nation (including those Disney Stores in your local malls) are gifted these extras yearly and for past years, these have been graciously extended to those third party cast members as well.
However, Disney has announced as of October 1st that they will not be looking to extend these cast member offerings to the third party companies any longer. This will include discounts for merchandise along with food and beverage, discounted resort stays, family holiday tickets, and discounted admission tickets to the parks.
As of our time of reporting, there is not a compiled list of which companies will be affected however, we will continue to update as this develops.
