Walt Disney World Starts Prepping for Hurricane Dorian

(8/30) For the moment Walt Disney World continues to operate under normal conditions but is, obviously, monitoring Hurricane Dorian closely and it’s potential impact on property.

Here are the operational updates so far:

  • Disney World is canceling this weekend’s sporting events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and closing Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on Sunday.
  • Disney World has started contacting guests with current and upcoming reservations at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to plan for anticipated weather impacts.
  • We will continue to update this article in the event of further operational impacts at the Walt Disney World Resort
