VIDEO: Building Damage and Flooding Occurs at Deluxe Disney Resort
Deluxe Disney Resorts are knowing for their immersive, luxurious experiences for Guests. From the timeless elegance of Grand Floridian Resort, to viewing wildlife off of your balcony at Animal Kingdom Lodge, there is an experience to suit just about everyone at Walt Disney World.
Recently, Disney accidentally took its love of immersive experiences to the next level when there was a massive leak in the roof at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Almost fitting for the outdoorsy atmosphere of the lodge, Guests watched as water cascaded down from the high ceilings like a waterfall, and onto the floor in the lobby. Cast Members can be seen scrambling to collect the water as it falls, although somewhat unsuccessful.
Video of the damage to the roof was caught by @kingdomreportlive. In the clip, seen below, we see the water flooding the lobby as it falls like a waterfall from the ceiling:
The roof damage was likely caused by recent storms that blew through Central Florida. At one point, Disney World was under a tornado watch for the storms. We hope that repairs are easily made to Wilderness Lodge.
