Update! The Disneyland Resort will be Expanding Mobile Orders in both parks.

We have long awaited the reopening of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. How long you may ask? It’s been six very long months without our favorite turkey legs, chimichangas, Mickey pretzels, Churros, popcorn, pickles and so many more. But there is one thing that we wont have to wait for, and that is long lines for our favorite foods, because once they do reopen the parks, we will be able to order them through the updated Disneyland Mobile App.

According to the Orange County Register, “Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will expand mobile ordering for food and drinks when the Anaheim theme parks reopen to promote contactless payments, reduce wait times and cut down on long lines at quick service restaurants.”

“New mobile ordering restaurant locations will be added at Disneyland and California Adventure in order to help encourage social distancing as part of a host of COVID-19 health and safety measures once the parks return following extended coronavirus closures.”

Although not all of the restaurants will have this available, according to the Orange County Register, Disney officials have said that Studio Catering Co. in Disney California Adventure and The Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland will both be added to the mobile ordering feature once the parks reopen.

Disney officials have also stated that “Disneyland will strongly encourage mobile ordering as the primary way to order food and beverages” at quick service restaurants where the mobile order feature is available. This is all according to the Orange County Register.

In addition, Disneyland will lower the minimum age to place a mobile order to 13 years old (down from 18 years old) and expand the Mobile order payment options by adding Apple Pay and Disney gift cards.
