Understanding Park Capacity Closure

We are in the midst of the busiest season at Walt Disney World and this is a good time to understand what “park capacity” really is and the difference between each phased closure.

In short if you are staying on Disney property, have an Annual Pass or a dining or experience reservation inside one of the parks you should be alright for most of the season.

Also if and when a park hits a phased closing it does not mean you are blocked out from the entire day. Usually capacity hits in the morning but in the afternoon, after a substantial number of guest leave, the park reopens so make sure to have your My Disney Experience app handy and up to date as you will receive a push notification whenever a phased closing occurs.
