The Candlelight Processional Returns to EPCOT, with a Marvelous Narrator

EPCOT was abuzz today, as we welcomed back the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays for 2022.  Most notably, Streaming the Magic was able to attend the first night of an event loved by generations, the Candlelight Processional.

A tradition for many families over the years at EPCOT, the Candlelight Processional is a telling of the religious story of Christmas by a celebrity narrator.  Within the story, the Voices of Liberty Choir and an orchestra play holiday songs that uplift and bring Holiday joy to Guests.

As tonight is the first night, we were thrilled to learn that Simu Liu would be the narrator for opening night.   Simu Liu is most well known for playing ‘Shang-Chi’, the title character from ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’,  a film from Marvel Studios released in 2021.  Liu is scheduled to appear not only for opening night tonight, but for tomorrow night as well.

The rest of the Holiday season sees a variety of celebrities taking on the role of narrator in the Candlelight Processional.  Many names are returning narrators, such as Neil Patrick Harris, who has narrated several times before.  This years narrator schedule (as listed on the WDW website) is:
