SeaWorld Orlando to Open June 11th 2020 to the Public

BREAKING- During a presentation to the Florida Economic Task for today- Sea World and Discovery Cove will begin it’s phased reopening on June 10th 2020- with an Employee appreciation night followed by a public opening on June 11th 2020 said Marc Swanson, Interim CEO, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

As we have seen with the other major theme parks- Social distancing guidelines will be implemented. These will include- temperature checks, requirement of masks for both guests and cast members, additional installation of hand sanitizing stations and protocols, use of social distancing marked in ride queues and use of reduced capacity. They will provide face coverings to guest who have not brought their own. Signage will be put throughout the resort indicating the new Social Distancing Guidelines and protocols, masks and hand sanitation etc. Parades and Meet and greets will be modified to accommodate for social distancing.

Restaurants will be modified to be more prepackaged, paper menus will be utilized and seating layouts will modified to accommodate for social distancing. Touch less payment options such as Apple Pay will be used throughout the resort. Buffet dining will be modified and discontinued for the time being.

This plan for phased reopening is expected to be approved by the economic task force today. Approval from the Mayor and the Governor have not been granted duet but are expected shortly after.
