Not All of Disney World is Closing

Yes, it was just announced that the parks at Disney World are closing but some things at Disney World will remain open.

Disney Springs: If you love to shop or are a foodie, there’s plenty to do at Disney Springs. Don’t forget, Raglan Road begins it’s St Patrick’s Day celebration this weekend!

Disney World Resorts: As of right now, there’s no plan to close the resorts. What exactly will be operating is not clear but if they’re keeping Disney Springs open, my guess is the usual resort amenities should be operating as well, including restaurants & pools (call ahead to double check).

Disney’s Boardwalk: Not quite as big as Disney Springs, but Disney’s Boardwalk area offers a lot of great dining and entertainment options including the dueling pianos bar Jelly Rolls (please check ahead to see if indoor entertainment such as this is still running).

For those wondering about Disneyland, their resorts will be closing but Downtown Disney (their version of Disney Springs) will remain open.
