New Animation Experience at Animal Kingdom Starts July 11th
Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed for quite some time but we now know that it will be reopening with all the experiences we loved and a brand new one, on July 11th 2019.
In honor of the celebration of Disney’s “The Lion King,” Animal Kingdom will be launching The Animation Experience at Conservation Station, offering guests the opportunity to learn how live animals have inspired some of the most iconic characters from this beloved “tail.” You’ll learn more about some of the animals who call the park home and then have the chance to create a personalized piece of Disney art through an instructor-led animation class. Of course, some of your favorite characters from “The Lion King” will be the stars of The Animation Experience, which will start when Rafiki’s Planet Watch reopens on July 11. Come learn how to draw Simba, Zazu, Pumbaa, Timon and more. Each session will be different so be sure to visit often to complete the collection. Disney FastPass+ Service will be offered for the experience, and you can make those selections starting later today.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Conservation Station provides a unique look at how Disney’s Animal Kingdom cares for it’s animals, it’s also the perfect place to meet some scaly, furry, feathered friends and ask the animal keepers questions about different species and their care. Don’t forget this is the only place where you are able to touch some animals as well. The reopening of Rafiki’s Planet Watch will help alleviate the heavy Summer crowds while providing a nice escape for kids as well as adults.
