Since the return of the Festival of the Lion King in its modified form (A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King) the streets in Africa and Asia have felt emptier than before.
All that will change soon though as Disney has just announced that the Tam Tam Drummers, Chakranaid, and Kora Tinga Tinga will be taking to the streets sooner than we thought! Here’s what Disney had to say in their announcement:
“Next week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, guests visiting Asia can once again enjoy the music of Chakranadi, and Kora Tinga Tinga returns to the streets of Harambe in Africa. And you can look for the Tam Tam Drummers to come back to Africa in early November.” (Disney Parks Blog)
This means guests will once again be able to tap their feet to the beat of the familiar sounds of those lands. This news comes on the heels of more live entertainment returning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and modified meet and greets coming to both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios parks.
Who knows, maybe we will soon get back to a pre-pandemic feel to Animal Kingdom park sooner than we thought!
