More Changes Coming To Disney World’s Park Pass Reservation System

All in the name of providing a more user-friendly, seamless experience, Walt Disney World is set to make even more “ehancements” to its current Park Pass Reservation system. This is currently being used (and has been since the theme parks reopening from Covid closures) to allow guests to “book” their first park they plan to visit on a particular day.

It was announced with the highly anticipated reveal of WDW Annual Passes returning that certain changes would be coming to the system to allow users more ease when making and viewing current and future park pass reservations. Under the current guidelines, only 3 park pass reservations can be made at a time for guests that are established Annual Passholders. When WDW Annual Passes allow for new sales starting September 8th, 2021 this will change dramatically depending on which pass the guests choose to purchase. Current passholders will also see these updated changes to their ability for future park pass reservations with the update citing up to 5 park pass reservations at a time per guest (assuming they’re not a resort guest during these particular park pass reservation offerings).

Because of the different tiers in passes, block out dates will be a bit more plentiful (again, passholder tier dependent) and guests will no longer have to hunt down their block out dates as the new park pass availability calendars should reflect only dates at which will be available to that guest. This is a significant change to the current park pass availability calendar and one that passholders have been grumbling about since the park pass reservation system’s inception.

Only time will tell how well these new enhancements will favor for guests use and how well the My Disney Experience app and website will continue to work to integrate the new calendar system and keep up with the upcoming Genie/Genie+ enhancements too.

So tell us, do you think Disney is throwing too much at their already unreliable online systems? Will these new enhancements to the park pass reservation calendars be of easier use to you? Sound off in the comments.
