Just How Much Would You Be Willing To Pay For A Disney World Admission Ticket By 2031?
The answer that one study by Koala uncovered, may (sticker) shock you!
Ah, Disney Magic…can you truly put a price on pure happiness? Well, Koala, a company that deals with timeshares and guest rentals, sure seems to think they’ve got a good estimate of what that may cost by 2031. It’s no secret that Walt Disney World guests can shell out anywhere between thousands to tens of thousands of dollars per trip for their time in the Florida sun just to catch a glimpse of the head cheese himself. But as we’ve recently seen steady increases in day ticket and even annual pass pricing, it’s worth begging the question ‘What’s the limit?’
In their study, Koala found that Disney has steadily increased its admission pricing by 7.4% annually and there’s no sign that they’re looking to let up on that anytime soon. With the expansions of new attractions, entertainment, and more immersive experiences Disney seems to be able to reason their steady increases with every turn of a new year but when will guests just simply start to say, “enough’s enough.”
When Walt Disney World initially opened its doors in 1971, the price for admission was $3.50 just for entrance to the park. Now granted, if we accounted for today’s inflation that would be more or less around $22.61- and again, no rides, no photos, no food, no transportation. Koala’s study projects that a potential increase of around 7134.24% could be seen as early as 2031 from its opening day admission pricing. If their projection is correct, that says a one day base ticket (no park hopping privileges) could be sold for around $253.20 within the next ten years IF pricing keep climbing as they have been.
