It’s Not All Just A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus Anymore: A Sequel Is Really Happening

For years, many believe that plans for a sequel of Disney’s iconic Halloween movie Hocus Pocus was ‘all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus.’ Well, it looks like the Sanderson Sisters are officially coming back to put a spell on us.

Even though many reports had previously declared the film was in pre-production, Disney officials unleashed a tease of the movie on December 10th. Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, delivered the tease Thursday night during a company presentation to investors. 

 “Halloween is one of the most popular holidays, of course, and one of the most popular Halloween movies is the cult classic Hocus Pocus.” Bailey states. “I am happy to confirm we are working on a treat for Disney+ audiences with a spooky sequel.”

Adam Shankman is the director. Although there is confirmation on a release date or who will star in the sequel, Bette Midler previously said the original cast was interested in returning to their iconic roles.
