Hours of Operations Changes for December at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World through MDE and the website has finally updated operating times for December. The old times had all the parks opening at 9pm and most closing by 9pm for the month. Here are the change, keep in mind most mornings Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hours so make sure to check the website for your specific travel dates:

Magic Kingdom opening at 8 am closing at midnight on Dec. 7th, 14th. 21st (8 am to 11 pm)

Dec. 23rd , 24th, 26th,27th,28th,29th,30th, opening at 8 am closing at midnight

Dec 25th 6 am to midnight

Dec 31st 8 am to 1 am

Epcot: opening at 9 am closing at 9:30 pm except December 31st, opening at 8 am closing at 1 am

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: December 19th through 30th from 9 am to 10 pm. December 31st from 9 am to midnight.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: the entire month it’s opened from 9 am to 8 pm. With the exception of the 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, when it’s opened from 8 am to 9 pm. December 29th and 30th it’s opened from 8 am until 11 pm. December 31st it’s opened from 9 am until midnight.

Surprisingly December 5th hours are unchanged at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They are opening the brand new attraction at Galaxy’s Edge, Rise of the Resistance, and most were banking on hours to be extended, especially in the morning.

As with all Disney World offerings these hours are subject to change, again if you have an upcoming trip during December make sure to check your dates.
