Galaxy’s Edge Coke Bottles not Allowed on Airplanes

The Transportation Security Administration has banned the “thermal detonator” Coca-Cola bottles sold in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from checked and carry-on luggage on U.S. flights.

“Replica items are not allowed on aircraft,” said TSA spokesperson Jim Gregory.

The Coca-Cola bottles sold in Galaxy’s Edge look like palm-sized thermal detonator grenades emblazoned with logos rendered in the Aurebesh language used throughout the galaxy far, far away.

Guests will have to mail these to their homes after a visit if the want to keep them as souvenirs. Disney has not commented on the decision.

It should be noted that many people have reported traveling with these bottles without an issue. However, according to the TSA, this is not allowed.
