FastPass Tier Changes at Epcot

Epcot is joining Hollywood Studios with the change-up of FastPass tier selections. Earlier this month we reported the changes in tiers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now we know that starting today there is another switch in availability of attractions over at Epcot.

Effective today the “Meet Disney Pals at Epcot Character Spot” has changed from Tier 1 to Tier 2. Leaving Frozen Ever After, Illuminations Reflections of Earth, Test Track and Soarin Around the World as Tier 1.

If you are unfamiliar with the Tier System in use at Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, basically you must pick only 1 attraction from Tier 1 and 2 attractions from Tier 2.

The Character Meet moving to Tier 2 is good news for families that still want to use a Tier 1 for attractions like Frozen Ever After or Soarin Around the World, and still have a chance to snag the fastpass for the character meet.

Disney quietly implemented this change without notice or news announcement. They usually never announce this sort of switch in advance.
