Epcot Re-Imagining Continues with more Closures

Epcot is undergoing a multiyear project on Future World and several areas have already closed and are behind walls.

On Feb. 16, the remaining areas in the center of Future World will be closed, including Electric Umbrella, Pin Central and the nearby merchandise and outdoor vending carts. If you are travelling through Future World you will be able to use one of the new park passageways. This includes the existing Future World West passage near The Seas and a new Future World East passage, opening Feb. 16, which runs adjacent to the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind construction site.

FastPass+ kiosks will also be relocated as a part of these impacts:

  • Future World East – on the right side of Test Track
  • Future World West – on the progress wall opposite from The Land pavilion

Because of the closing of Electric Umbrella, there will be additional offerings at the following quick services:

  • Eats at the Epcot Experience – featuring a newly expanded menu of flatbreads, chicken nuggets and salads
  • Sunshine Seasons – now also featuring burgers
