Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’ Remake Claims Latest Casting In Owen Wilson
Could we be one member closer to finding all 999 happy haunts?
Disney has found it’s latest victim (err, casting) in none other than ‘Loki’ series fan favorite, Owen Wilson. While details about his role are being tightly sealed (as well as the rest of the cast responsibilities) it’s safe to say that things seem to be looking up for this new re-make.
In recent years Disney has seemed to set it sights on getting back to the basics and reprising beloved stories with an added twist for relevance to today’s times. This was most recently seen in remakes like Aladdin, Jungle Cruise, and even Cruella.
Wilson will be teamed up with the likes of LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish to star in the remake of ‘Haunted Mansion’ and hopefully this release will meet better critical acclaim than its predecessor did. This version is set to be in the hands of a dynamic directorial duo in Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich who have overseen both animation and live action filmmaking alike, so it seems we may be in for a real treat with all the spirits in our favor.
Production is rumored to begin filming in October of this year and even more appropriately in Louisiana giving us all the stately vibes to look forward to!
