Can’t reserve the park you want at Disney World? Try this hack
On a recent trip to Disney World, I ran into a situation where the original day I reserved Animal Kingdom for, was going to be a stormy day. I wanted to switch the day but everything was fully booked.
I tried the phone lines at Disney World but the wait times were way too long. I tried the in-app chat support but that wait was also long. I tried refreshing the app endlessly in hopes something would open up but that also did not work.
Then I went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lodge, thinking maybe their customer support could help. The advice I was given by the cast member at Disney’s Animal Kingdom lodge was to try visiting the park directly & talking with their customer support team. So I did just that.
First I had to ask the parking attendants if they could let me through for free so I could attempt to change my park reservation. They were kind enough to do so. Once you arrive at Animal Kingdom, when facing the entrance you should keep to the left where their customer support staff is located.
There was no wait and I was helped out right away. I explained to the cast member my situation and after a few minutes, they were able to change my park reservation. Instead of Thursday our park day was now Friday. Even though, Animal Kingdom was supposed to be fully booked that Friday.
So if you are locked out from park reservations, don’t give up. Try visiting the parks directly for help.
