Disney World Adds “Courtesy” Reminder To Website After Several Instances of In-Park Fighting
The “Know Before You Go” planning section of the Walt Disney World website is looking a little different this morning, in a change that reflects much of what we have seen lately across social media. With Park fighting on the rise, and poor Park and Resort etiquette also seeing an uptick, Disney has decided to send out a reminder of what they call “Property Rules”.
Previously a space dedicated mostly to COVID-19 cleaning policies around Disney property, a new “Courtesy” tab has been added to this section. When dropped down, the description reads: “Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort”.

Attached at the bottom are the Walt Disney World property rules. Several topics are discussed in the property rules, from prohibited items, proper Park attire, skipping line queues, quiet hours at the Resorts, and so on.
Disney also makes it clear in their courtesy statement that Guests who do not comply with the rules may be asked to leave. This seems to give Guests a fair warning to behave, or risk being removed from Property.
With so many instances of Park fighting recently, we are not surprised by this new statement by Walt Disney World.
What do you think? Do you think this is a strong enough statement to stop the fighting in Parks? Let us know!
