Disney Composer Says Pocahontas Remake Unlikely

Disney Composer Alan Menken, who has composed music for Disney classics such as ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Pocahontas’ thinks ‘Pocahontas’ won’t be part of the string of Disney classics getting green-lit for a live action remake.

“I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to do Pocahontas, I think that story is going to be difficult. With modern sensibilities, it’d be hard – you’re going to offend somebody – so I don’t know” Alan said.

Alan was speaking at an event to promote the new ‘Aladdin’ remake which hits theaters this weekend.
