Disney Backs Down in Wrongful Death Lawsuit Controversy

Last week we reported that the Walt Disney Company was using a terms of service stipulation through Disney+ to try and send a lawsuit to arbitration.

Now that the story has gone viral and hundreds of videos and memes are posted about this, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences has announced Disney will change course on their approach to the matter:

“At Disney, we strive to put humanity above all other considerations. With such unique circumstances as the ones in this case, we believe this situation warrants a sensitive approach to expedite a resolution for the family who have experienced such a painful loss. As such, we’ve decided to waive our right to arbitration and have the matter proceed in court.”
