Disney Chairman, Bob Iger, joined the Economic Task Force in April. The group was created to help lead the state of of an oncoming recession caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic. The goal was on business recovery and there were about 70 individuals meeting about twice per month. It was confirmed this evening that Bob Iger had quit the task force.
Recently though, Several individuals, including Bob Iger, did not agree with the direction that California Governor, Gavin Newsom, was leading. Disneyland has been closed for nearly 6 months! There has been a lot of pressure for Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm and many others across the state to be provided with the opportunity to reopen. The prolonged closure to Disney caused the decision to let go of over 28 thousand Disney cast members this week.
