Beacon Of Light Testing On Shimmering Spaceship Earth At EPCOT

Shining, Shimmering, Splendid…

Yes, the big 5-0 celebration is almost here and naturally Disney has had to begun testing to ready themselves for the larger-than-life icon reveals. In the picture above (taken from a video posted but not originating from @MagibandManic) you can see the shimmering lights that have been recently added to Spaceship Earth’s exterior! Isn’t it lovely?!

No one knows for sure if this will be the ending design or if this is simply just testing for now, however, it sure made for a sparkling addition to the night sky when caught by several eagle-eyed guests late at night. We’re all counting down the days to the 50th celebration as we speculate more nighttime testing will continue the closer we get to the October 1st date.
